Banffy Palace- Cluj-Napoca

Built between 1774 and 1785 on a plant from a rectangular base Conte Gheorghe (György) Banffy it`s considered the the most representative baroque building in Transylvania. Ontitle page Rococo gives impresion the emblem of the Banffy family and the statues of the characters from Roman mythology: Marte, Apollo, Diana, Perseo, Ercole e Minerva. The building, who hosting The Gallery of Art it was closed in 1990 because of degradation, but was reopened in 1996.
The National Museum of Art from Cluj-Napoca
hosting inside of palace was called The European Museum in 1997.
